PhotoVu intros 22-inch PV2265w wireless digital photo frame

PhotoVu, the same outfit that delivered a 19-inch digiframe, is now upping the ante once more with the "industry's first 22-inch high-resolution, widescreen wireless digital picture frame." This behemoth features a 1,680 x 1,050 resolution panel, built-in software for displaying RSS feeds, 300 cd/m2 brightness, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and a USB 2.0 port for connecting a flash drive or external hard drive. Swank though it may be, the PV2265w won't run you cheap, as you'll be asked to cough up a whopping $1,299 to get this bad boy to your door.

Sony Ericsson gets official on the W910 and K850

For you Walkman / Cyber-shot buffs out there who've been dying to get your hands on some new phoneage -- look no further. The Sony-Ericsson dreamteam have just announced the official release of two of its new mobile phones sure to have player haters... um, player hating. The W910, which we took a look at back in June, apparently has music-playin' on its mind, though with HSDPA, a 1GB Memory Stick, and its "shake" feature (which allows you to jostle the device to switch songs or randomize playback), you might find other uses for it. If you're more of an Ansel Adams-type, you can get your mitts on the K850, a camera-minded phone that's got a considerable 5-megapixel camera (with a Xenon flash / video light), has more of that beloved HSDPA, and can do 30fps video -- if that's your thing. Both of these sweet babies will be available in "selected markets" this month, no word on price.

Vonage requests rehearing of Verizon patent ruling

Vonage, who has been hit up with a bevy of legal trouble in recent months, is officially seeking a review of the September 26th Verizon patent decision. Reportedly, the internet telephony outfit "filed a motion for a review by the original three-judge panel or the full panel of the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit." According to Vonage Chief Legal Officer Sharon O'Leary, the move "represents the next logical step for Vonage in managing this litigation and continuing to move its business forward," and she also stated that the firm would "continue to explore all legal options available to put the Verizon litigation to rest."

Sony Ericsson's K630 gets official in black and gold

Just in case two recently announced Sony Ericsson mobiles weren't enough for one day, along comes the K630 to quell your grumbling. This handset sports a slightly less impressive feature set than the other two newcomers, but it ought to put a noticeably smaller dent in your wallet to compensate. Nevertheless, the K630 will be available in Havana Gold and Quick Black and will feature HSDPA, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync preloaded, a two-megapixel camera, 256MB M2 card, built-in Media Browser, an FM tuner, support for MP3 / AAC / WMA formats, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, video recording at 15fps and USB connectivity. Mum's the word on pricing at the moment, but look for it to land in "select markets" during Q4. Check out a video of the device right over here.

Gilded Zelda DS Lite on the horizon?

Apparently, the gold DS Lite you see tucked away in the lower-left hand corner of the picture above could soon be coming to retail stores, which to be honest, wouldn't shock us considering the smorgasbord of colors already out there. Reportedly, the photograph was snapped at the Nintendo World Store as Phantom Hourglass launched, and to make things even more interesting, a certain individual has also claimed that his company has received orders from the Big N to design graphics for a "BOX, SYST GOLD W/ZELDA: HOUR USG." Even if legitimate, it remains to be seen if the elusive new portable will simply be a limited run for contests or if it'll hit shelves en masse, but it's hard to argue how well a gilded Zelda DS Lite bundle would sell this holiday season.

Zune 2's user interface gets inspected

As we all twiddle our thumbs while waiting for the next-generation of Zunes to ship out, ZuneRama has pointed out a number of user interface changes to tide you over. Notable differences include the volume setting reaching 40 (versus 20 on the existing models), album artwork when browsing by Album looks bigger than on the current firmware and when advancing from one track to another, the album art for the new track slides in from the right in a "wipe" transition. Granted, most of these changes aren't apt to make or break your experience with the new players, but if you're interested in checking out the full list, the read link's got the goods.

Kyocera said to be ever so close to buying Sanyo's cellphone biz

Kyocera has already shown it was pretty serious about buying Sanyo's cellphone business, and it now looks like that persistence may be about to pay off, with the two companies reportedly all but set to announce a deal. While the final price has apparently yet to be fixed, Nikkei says Kyocera has offered 70 billion yen (or nearly $600 million) for the business, although that price may wind up being a bit lower after Kyocera has done all its due diligence. As Reuters points out, if the deal goes through, it would make Kyocera the world's seventh-largest cellphone business, up from its current 10th place position. That possibility should become clear soon enough, as the deal could apparently be announced as early as today.
